Convergence AV
The growing power of the internet is driving a massive change in the media delivery market, for example CDs are no longer the preferred source for music. Higher levels of technology are commonly finding their way into the home; PCs are become more powerful and the use of home networks is growing.
There is also a trend in new builds towards custom install whereby the multimedia system for the house is defined in advance and installed in the fabric of the building.
The sharing of digital source material via the internet and ease of management makes the multimedia PC a very useful tool. The PC offers features that are not available in conventional consumer AV equipment, but does not match the audio quality of the traditional approach. Combining the qualities of PC and digital amplifier leads to a highly-integrated system, which meets all our needs.
Networking technology enables AV data, from the central source, to be seamlessly transmitted and enjoyed in different rooms of the home. Digital transmission of audio data is more manageable and reliable than distribution of an amplified signal. The all-digital process of network termination, audio decoding and amplification is the elegant solution.
These trends are driving changes in AV products resulting in a convergence of technologies, though the dominant shape of these products is still changing
DDFA amplifiers perfectly fit in all these situations. The DDFA input is compatible with all digital audio formats with extensive DSP resources enable mixing and multiplexing of multiple sources. Each of the 8 independent channels per ZXCZM800 can be configured either as stereo or surround and delivered locally to where the sound is required.
